Everybody who does concrete forming is familiar with the big metal systems. They’re very efficient on the large scale.

If you’re doing a massive concrete project where you’re doing the same thing over and over again you can’t beat the big metal forms. BUT THEY ARE EXPENSIVE. They are very heavy in manpower, cranes/telehandlers are required for moving them and there are a lot of heavy components to put them together and brace them. They do not work on smaller stuff.

For the smaller stuff you need to use wood. Even the big jobs have small parts that need hand forming. Everyone knows the time, cost and waste of material when hand forming. You cut your timbers, make a frame, screw the plywood onto it, use it a few times and then throw it in the skip when you’re done. This is where we come in.
